Detailed Description
You may have heard the terms “blogging” or “podcasting,” and you may have seen your students getting excited about websites like MySpace and facebook. Do you want to know more what these things are all about? Then this workshop is for YOU! This full day workshop will give you a chance to understand and master the Web 2.0 universe. By the close of the workshop, you’ll be able to understand, access, and utilize the free-of-cost social networks, blogs, podcasts, video sharing, virtual worlds, and even cutting-edge “mashup” technologies for a variety of fun, useful, and educational purposes. In addition, issues of safety and finding Web 2.0 sites specifically geared towards teachers and students will be explored in detail so that participants can make the most of this newest and most exciting movement in internet technology.
