Detailed Description
During this one-day training, participants will learn about and discuss common characteristics and social and emotional issues facing gifted individuals. Resources for developing an affective curriculum for students with high abilities will be shared, and participants will be provided with an opportunity to begin planning an affective curriculum that would meet the needs of students with high abilities in your school corporation. Audience: Counselors and/or High Ability Teachers or Coordinators who have responsibility for students with high abilities and would like an understanding of how to address the social and emotional needs of these students. April 21, 2010 (registration deadline April 1, 2010); 9:00AM-3:00PM (registration begins at 8:30AM with continental breakfast). Location: The Conference Center at Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Indiana $100 – Members of Indiana ESCs; $150 – Non-Members
