| Mathematics Instructional Materials Analysis: The First Step Towards Student Success |

| Committee members charged with facilitating the selection of mathematics instructional materials are encouraged to attend the MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS ANAYLYSIS WORKSHOP to learn how to use a tool that will help identify effective instructional materials. The selection of appropriate materials is critical to the implementation of high-quality mathematics instruction and to student achievement. To make informed decisions about instructional materials, educators must be knowledgeable about the revised Indiana’s Academic Standards for Mathematics. Participants will be provided with an instructional materials review and analysis tool. This tool will assist campuses and districts in the mathematics instructional materials selection process. December 8, 2009 (registration deadline: December 1, 2009). Location: NWIESC; Fee: $50/person (includes all materials, breakfast, and lunch); 9AM-4PM (registration begins at 8:30AM). |
